Coming to the App Store
Privacy policy

We never see your contacts.

Last updated 28 October 2026

MyBC has no account, no server of its own, no analytics and no advertising. What you put into the app stays on your iPhone and in backups you control. This page explains the details: what the app stores and where, which Apple services it uses on your behalf, and how this website handles your visit.

Who we are

My Business Cards (MyBC) is made by Alexander Leven, 159 Xa Lo Hanoi, Masteri Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Questions about privacy go to support@my-businesscards.com.

The short version

  • We collect nothing from the app. No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no analytics or crash-reporting services, no ads.
  • Your data stays with you. Contacts, companies, notes, card photos and files are stored on your iPhone, and in backups saved to your own iCloud Drive or iPhone.
  • Apple provides some features. A few iOS services the app uses work over the internet. When they do, the data goes to Apple, not to us, and Apple's privacy policy applies.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you add — contacts, companies, logs, to-dos, notes, business card photos, logos and attachments — is kept in the app's private storage on your iPhone. Your settings, such as the theme and the dictation language, are kept there too.

Copies exist only where you or your iPhone put them:

  • MyBC backups. Saved to a MyBC folder in your iCloud Drive, or in Files → On My iPhone → MyBC when iCloud Drive isn't available. They are plain files you can open, move or delete.
  • Your iPhone's iCloud Backup, if you use it, includes MyBC like any other app.
  • Spotlight. Contacts and companies are added to your iPhone's on-device search, so you can find them from the Home Screen.

iCloud data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account. We have no access to it.

Permissions the app asks for

Each permission is asked for when you first use the feature that needs it, and every one is optional. You can change them at any time in the iPhone's Settings → MyBC.

Things you choose to send

Some actions hand information to another app or website, and only happen when you tap them: exporting a CSV, text or PDF file; sharing your own card by QR code, AirDrop or NFC tag; emailing or calling a contact; opening a contact's website or LinkedIn page; or searching the web for a person or company. What happens next is governed by the app or website you send it to.

Siri and Shortcuts

When you ask Siri to log a conversation or add a to-do, Apple processes the request. MyBC receives only the result, such as the text of the note, and stores it on your iPhone.

Buying the app

MyBC is sold through the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. We receive sales reports from Apple, not your name or payment details. If you have chosen in your iPhone's settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple also gives us anonymous, aggregated usage figures and crash reports.

This website

This website sets no cookies and has no trackers or advertising; even its fonts are served from this site rather than from Google or another provider. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without identifying you.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them only as long as we need to help you.

Your rights

Because we hold no data from the app, there is nothing of yours on our side to access, correct or delete. You control it on your iPhone: edit or delete any record, delete your backups in Files, or delete the app. For emails you have sent us, you can ask to see them or have them deleted. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

MyBC is a tool for work and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
